Job description

Job Summary The PLM and CAD Administration Manager leads the strategy, administration, and continuous improvement of PLM, CAD, and engineering data systems. This role owns PLM/CAD roadmaps, drives data integrity and reporting consistency, supports automation and AI-driven improvements, and leads teams that enable product development, manufacturing, quality, and business decision-making.
Teams Managed: PLM, CAD Administration, and Technical Writing
Key Responsibilities
  • Own and maintain PLM, data management, and CAD roadmaps; align priorities with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, IT, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead PLM/CAD administration, configuration, and continuous improvement for systems such as Windchill and Creo.
  • Establish engineering data governance standards for BOMs, revision/release control, ECR/ECN workflows, and document control.
  • Improve reporting consistency, dashboards, automation, and AI-driven solutions to reduce manual effort and improve quality.
  • Build, coach, and develop high-performing PLM, CAD Administration, and Technical Writing teams.
  • Maintain user documentation, training materials, and support resources; champion PLM/CAD adoption and change management.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience: 3+ years in PLM/CAD administration, data management, or engineering, including 1+ year in a leadership or management role.
  • Experience supporting PLM/CAD users, developing training, and leading technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of BOM structures, revision/release control, ECN/ECR processes, document control, and engineering data standards.
  • Ability to develop PLM/CAD roadmaps, drive process improvement, and collaborate across technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Windchill administration/configuration experience, CAD/PLM integrations, ERP/MRP handoffs, reporting tools such as Power BI or SQL, and change-management experience are preferred.
