Job description

The Central PA Institute of Science and Technology is seeking a full-time, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic instructor to join our team and teach in the field of Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications (CIP Code 11.0901). This role involves delivering engaging instruction on topics such as networking, telecommunications, and cybersecurity, using innovative teaching methods like hands-on labs and simulations. The instructor will develop and update curricula to reflect emerging technologies, mentor students on academic and career paths, and collaborate with colleagues to align course offerings with program goals. Additional responsibilities include evaluating student performance, supporting program assessments, and participating in recruitment and outreach efforts.
The ideal candidate may hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or have 4 years of professional experience in networking or telecommunications. Industry certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+) and teaching experience are highly desirable. This position requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
