NJ Computer Science Certification
The ability to obtain this certification prior to the 2027-2028 school year is required
Ability to demonstrate proficiency with Computer Science concepts using a programming language common in education (ex Java)
Experience teaching Computer Science at any level (K-12 and college) is strongly preferred
Extra duties as assigned by the building Principal
Salary: $60,653 - $115,891 per year. Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications
Full-time staff are eligible for Medical, Prescription, and Dental Benefits. Sick, Personal and Bereavement Days are included
All alternate route candidates ("Certificate of Eligibility) must show completion of 50 hours of pre-service training through a DOE approved CE educator program prior to being interviewed for a position. The certificate of completion must be uploaded into the AppliTrack portal in order for alternate route candidates to be considered. Further information about the alternate route program can be obtained at https://www.nj.gov/education/certification/CEprogramproviders.shtml.
