Job description

Job Duties: Associate, Banker-Industry/Country Coverage with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Create and analyze financial models, organize and prepare client presentations, help oversee transaction processes, and assist in structuring transactions primarily for companies in the Industrials sector. Develop financial models, perform customized company valuation analysis, and assist with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions and fixed income and equity issuances. Organize and prepare presentations explaining industry trends, assess clients' situations to provide the necessary financial advice, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. Conduct detailed financial analysis on individual, public, and privately held companies to assess investment opportunities, focusing on companies in the Industrials sector. Coordinate with teams of tax advisors, attorneys, and bankers for various transactions. Lead due diligence processes and actively participate in the negotiations of legal documentation. Engage with management at companies to build relationships and coordinate information requests needed for analysis.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field and two (2) years of experience in job offered or a related role. Prior employment must include two (2) years of experience with: developing and reviewing financial models including operating models, M&A, discounted cash flow, or leveraged buyouts; producing client reports using market data analyses, leveraging electronic data sources including Bloomberg, FactSet, or Capital IQ; analyzing company data, including strategic operating plans, documentation of live transactions, regulatory filings, annual reports, and other public disclosures; performing credit analysis, including analyzing a company's financial position, evaluating historical cashflow, assessing the maturity profile of total borrowings and the ability to refinance in the future; executing debt and equity financing (including IPO) transactions, and public and private M&A (buyside and sell-side) transactions; and presenting to senior management and board members on corporate strategy and financing alternatives.

Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York -based position is $175,000 - $203,000
