Job description

Note: This position will support multiple locations so reliable transportation is a must.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Director of Technology, the Technology Support Associate will be responsible for supporting District teaching staff by answering technical questions and researching and resolving computer hardware and software issues. By helping students with Chromebooks, login and printing related issues, they will also work with the IT team to resolve larger network, WiFi and user account problems, ensuring technical success among District stakeholders.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science preferred and a minimum of two (2) years experience on a help desk in a LAN/WAN environment.
  • Strong working knowledge and troubleshooting skills in a variety of networks and operating systems including Windows, Macintosh OS, ChromeBooks/Chrome OS.
  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of Computers and related hardware.
  • Ability to interact with all staff to facilitate problem solving and communication.
  • Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate good prioritization skills related to a school environment.

EDUCATION TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in computer support.
  • Experience working in a LAN/WAN environment.
  • Aware of best security practices involving computer software, hardware, privacy and phishing/malware.

CERTIFICATE AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • None required. 

SCHEDULE: 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday

WORK MONTHS: 12-Months (Year-Round) 

SALARY:  $22.00 per hour - $26.00 per hour
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
