About This Role

Location: Conyers, GA


Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable and engaging Afterschool Teacher to help provide children with a positive and structured environment after the school day comes to an end.


The successful candidate will be able to supervise groups of children while balancing homework support, recreation, enrichment, and opportunities for social interaction.


What You'll Do
Responsibilities
  • Supervise school-aged children during afterschool hours
  • Help children transition comfortably into the afternoon program
  • Provide support with homework, reading, and school-related activities
  • Organize games, crafts, group projects, and other enrichment activities
  • Encourage teamwork, responsibility, and positive communication
  • Help children follow daily schedules and program expectations
  • Assist with snacks and other routine activities
  • Monitor attendance and maintain accurate program records
  • Keep activity areas safe, clean, and ready for use
  • Provide positive and appropriate guidance when behavioral concerns arise
  • Communicate professionally with parents and guardians
  • Coordinate with other staff to support daily program activities
  • Follow all established childcare, safety, and program procedures

Requirements
Qualifications
  • CDA, TCC, Associate’s Degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Previous afterschool teaching experience preferred.
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Must successfully complete all required background checks.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
