Job description

Quirk Auto Dealers is looking for an experienced professional to join our service team as a Shop Foreman. Come join our team with a focus on relationships with our customers, our fellow staff, as well as the surrounding communities.
Job Duties
  • Identify, diagnose, and perform the most technical automotive repairs.
  • Assign work to technicians
  • Provide accurate estimates of repair costs
  • Establish deadlines and modifying work schedules to meet deadlines as needed
  • Manage and maintain work environment safety, perform inspections, and ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Train and mentor junior repair technicians, leading by example.
  • Inspect work while it is being done and after it is completed
  • Additionally, the Foreman must also provide any other assistance when needed, as expressed by the Service Manager

Job Requirements
  • Several years' (4+ preferred) experience in the repair of vehicles or maintenance equipment, or an equivalent amount of experience as a supervisor in a repair shop.
  • Continued pursuit of further certifications and training is a condition of employment
  • Knowledge of repair procedures and basic computer software is necessary.
  • Ability to manage and organize work time and other work-related activities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to keep learning and willingness to better one's self, even in a managerial position
