Job Summary
Langan is seeking a Help Desk Intern or Co-op to join its collaborative Information Technology team in Parsippany, NJ. This individual will serve a key function in troubleshooting technical issues and repairing and maintaining all types of computer and peripheral hardware. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and work in a team environment while gaining practical experience.
Job Responsibilities
  • Set up and repair PCs and peripherals;
  • Perform software installations;
  • Minor printer repair and support;
  • Occasionally provide telephone, e-mail, and live chat technical support; and
  • Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
  • Student actively pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field;
  • Ability to work at least 25 hours/week during the fall semester;
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred;
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal;
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent customer service skills;
  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment;
  • Ability to potentially travel to satellite offices to provide on-site support;
  • Programming and/or networking experience a plus; and
  • Data entry, inventory and video editing experience preferred.

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, location, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. Certain roles may be eligible for overtime and participation in the firm's annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm. Employees are also eligible to receive up to 20 days of paid vacation time, 10 days of paid sick time and 10 paid holidays throughout the year. Eligibility and actual paid time off may vary based on local law and factors such as hours worked, related work experience and level.
