Job description

The Spotter/Scale House Attendant at Northern Recycling, LLC, plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operations of our recycling facility. This role involves overseeing the movement of vehicles within the facility, directing them to the appropriate areas, and accurately recording and documenting weight and other relevant information for incoming and outgoing materials. The spotter/scale house attendant acts as a liaison between drivers, site personnel, and management to maintain smooth operations at Northern Recycling, LLC.

  • Vehicle Movement Oversight:
  • Safely direct incoming and outgoing vehicles within the Northern Recycling facility, ensuring adherence to established traffic patterns and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with drivers to guide them to designated loading, unloading, or dumping areas based on their respective recycling needs.
  • Maintain constant awareness of vehicle movement to prevent accidents and minimize congestion.
  • Weighing and Documentation:
  • Accurately weigh vehicles using Northern Recycling's weighing equipment, ensuring proper positioning and calibration.
  • Record and document weight data, vehicle information, and materials being recycled for both inbound and outbound traffic.
  • Generate appropriate documentation, such as recycling tickets or receipts, to provide to drivers and maintain accurate records.
  • Customer Interaction:
