Welcome to a thrilling opportunity at Micron! As a Foundry PDK Collateral Intelligence Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our Engineering team, located in the vibrant city of Richardson, TX. Join us in pushing the boundaries of memory and storage solutions, crafting innovative technologies that encourage the world to learn, communicate, and advance with unparalleled speed.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the secure download of foundry collateral, including TSMC PDKs and IP bundles, ensuring strict alignment to delivery schedules and completeness.
  • Install and set up PDKs, rule decks, models, and libraries in standardized environments, ensuring alignment with foundry recommendations and multi-node support.
  • Implement a comprehensive validation process with unit testing, smoke testing, and regression testing to confirm that all CAD flows are validated and stable before release.
  • Package and release validated PDK environments to build teams, maintaining version control and publishing comprehensive release notes and supported flow documentation.
  • Develop and improve automation for PDK installation, updates, validation, and regression testing flows to improve efficiency and reduce manual setup time.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in PDK integration, CAD flows, or EDA environments within the semiconductor build or CAD support domains.
  • Strong knowledge of PDK components such as DRC/LVS, extraction, models, and libraries, along with experience in custom and/or digital build flows.
  • Proficiency with EDA tools like Cadence, Synopsys, and Siemens, and adeptness in Linux environments and scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, and shell.
  • Familiarity with tapeout flows and regression validation processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience collaborating with foundries such as TSMC and IFS.
  • Background in CAD automation and infrastructure, with a focus on large-scale PDK release management.
  • Familiarity with version control and environment management tools, combined with strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and process rigor, with the ability to manage multiple releases and timelines effectively.
