Job description

Position Overview:

The Engineering Intern - Motors position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on professional experience while contributing to meaningful projects within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Interns will work closely with department staff to support process improvements, data optimization, and technical tasks, such as 3D printing and casting quality improvements. This internship is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual with a strong desire to learn and grow professionally. Interns will develop critical skills, present their work to leadership, and build a foundation for future career opportunities.


In this function you will:

  • Dedicate yourself to creating and maintaining a safe workplace free of all injuries.
  • Contribute to process improvements and data optimization within the department, which may include shop support and the material review board (MRB).
  • Assist in 3D printing patterns and improving casting quality.
  • Complete assigned work with a high degree of accuracy and meet all deadlines.
  • Present a summary of key accomplishments and learnings to the leadership team at the conclusion of the internship.
  • Routinely communicate with department staff, providing updates on progress and notifying them of any challenges in completing tasks.
  • Work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment while demonstrating initiative and a willingness to learn.
  • Adhere to working hours as agreed and provide advance notice of any necessary schedule changes.
  • Follow the company dress code, which is casual but appropriate for an office environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship for employment visas.
