Job description

Description:

This role is perfect for an engineer who combines strong technical skills with excellent communication abilities and enjoys working cross-functionally across the organization. The Project Engineer will coordinate and manage deadlines for customer material requirements.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Completes cost estimates of materials for customer quotes. 
  • Prepares CAD approval drawings (2D) for customers. 
  • Prepares Fabrication work orders for the shop. 
  • Supervises progress of development project. 
  • Collaborate with engineering team, field installation team, and sales team. 
  • Collaborates with the operations team regarding fabrication schedules to meet deadlines. 
  • Collaborates with project engineers from other plants to share problems and solutions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 
Requirements:
  • 2 Years of CAD Experience. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High Mechanical Aptitude 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related engineering discipline OR highly skilled drafter with experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in engineering, CAD. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
