Aviation & Missile Solutions, LLC. (AMS) is seeking a talented Engineer with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics and/or Mathematics to join our diverse team, in Huntsville, AL., to create unique solutions for complex problems. AMS provides responsive, cost-effective engineering and scientific solutions ranging from air and missile defense technologies, command and control, radar systems, seekers, modeling & simulation, and prototype hardware development and testing.

Position Description:

The Engineer performing this role will perform the following:

  • The candidate will work with other modelers, researchers, and study leads to build models, simulations, conduct analysis, and provide results.
  • The candidate will conduct analysis and collaborate with subject matter experts in planning, design, development, and utilization or modeling and simulation tools.
  • The candidate will perform research on RF, MMW, and EO/ IR phenomenon and sensors and develop high-fidelity physics-based models to represent real world environments and sensors.

Basic Qualifications (required):

  • Proficient in C++, Python, MATLAB, Fortran, and/or other coding languages.
  • Proficient in using Linux and Windows Operating Environments
  • Knowledge of RF, MMW, Communications, and EW.

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  • Good people skills and the desire to work with a highly technical team of engineers and scientists.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, and/or Mathematics
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an applicable field.

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the year.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

Security Requirements:

  • Citizenship: Candidate must be a US only citizen.
  • Clearance level: Possess (and be able to maintain) a Final SECRET/ SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final SECRET Clearance.
