JOB STATUS: Full-time

SALARY: $70,054 - $83,928

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Drafter/CAD Operator IV for the RTC Test and Engineering Services (RTES) Contract supporting the Army Division.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • 1 year of vocational school training in electrical or mechanical engineering drafting.
  • 5 years of applicable experience in three-dimensional (3D) computer aided design (CAD).
  • Must be flexible in adapting to deadlines, changing schedules, competing priorities, and unpredictable events.
  • Thorough, detail oriented, and organized, with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Government security clearance. (Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks, including: part modeling, assembly creation, drawing generation, and basic configurations.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain drafting accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop innovative mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks CAD software.
