Job description

ESC is seeking a cleared Senior Applications Programmer to provide expert-level technical leadership and support across sustainment lifecycle management, application development, and program operations. The successful candidate will analyze business applications and functional requirements, design and implement software solutions, and provide technical direction for complex enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in .NET, SQL, APIs, low-code/no-code development, BPMN, and agile application development, as well as demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives and supporting the ongoing sustainment, enhancement, and optimization of enterprise systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES โ€ข Serve as a Sustainment Lead or Sustainment SME supporting program and project operations. โ€ข Provide expert-level knowledge of sustainment lifecycle management activities. โ€ข Analyze functional business applications and design specifications across areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts. โ€ข Develop block diagrams, logic flowcharts, and other technical design documentation. โ€ข Translate detailed software designs and requirements into functional computer applications. โ€ข Design, develop, code, test, debug, and refine software to meet business and technical requirements. โ€ข Develop and maintain applications using .NET technologies and SQL/database solutions. โ€ข Develop and integrate application programming interfaces (APIs) to support low-code/no-code development platforms. โ€ข Develop application and process automation solutions based on Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) models. โ€ข Enhance existing software to improve performance, reduce operating time, and increase operational efficiency. โ€ข Prepare and maintain program-level and user-level technical documentation. โ€ข Provide technical guidance and direction to other programmers as needed to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met. โ€ข Devise or modify technical procedures to solve complex application and software problems while considering system capacity, operating time, and desired results. โ€ข Support agile and hybrid application development methodologies.
REQUIREMENTS โ€ข Must possess an active Secret Clearance.   โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in information technology or a related field. โ€ข 10 years of relevant professional experience. โ€ข Expert-level experience and knowledge of sustainment lifecycle management activities for programs and project operations. โ€ข Demonstrated experience with .NET application development. โ€ข Strong experience with SQL and relational database management systems (DBMS). โ€ข Experience developing and integrating APIs to support low-code/no-code development platforms. โ€ข Experience using low-code/no-code Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) tools. โ€ข Experience developing application and process automation software based on BPMN models. โ€ข Experience with agile and hybrid low-code application development. โ€ข Experience as an application programmer supporting large-scale DBMS environments. โ€ข Strong knowledge of computer systems, software development practices, and system limitations. โ€ข Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective technical solutions. โ€ข Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to other programmers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS โ€ข Experience supporting large-scale enterprises or government applications. โ€ข Experience with software sustainment and modernization initiatives. โ€ข Experience integrating traditional application development with low-code/no-code platforms. โ€ข Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and technical documentation skills. โ€ข Ability to work independently while providing technical leadership within a development team.
Salary Range: $120,000-$130,000
