Position Summary
The Life Enrichment Assistant plays a key role in creating a vibrant and engaging community for our residents. This position assists with planning, organizing, and leading activities that promote socialization, emotional well-being, physical activity, and fun. The ideal candidate is outgoing, creative, dependable, and passionate about working with seniors.
What You'll Do
  • Assist with creating and distributing monthly activity calendars
  • Communicate upcoming events through flyers, announcements, and postings
  • Help decorate the community for holidays, special events, and seasonal celebrations
  • Lead group activities, games, classes, outings, and special events
  • Encourage resident participation and engagement
  • Foster meaningful social connections among residents
  • Ensure scheduled activities occur as planned and provide alternatives when necessary
  • Safely transport residents using community vehicles as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and activity records
  • Support community events and special programs
  • Collaborate with team members to create memorable resident experiences
QualificationsRequired
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with seniors, families, and team members
  • Basic computer skills including email, Microsoft Office, and data entry
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Weekend availability 
Preferred
  • Experience working with seniors, assisted living, memory care, recreation, or activities programs
  • Knowledge of Assisted Living and Memory Care regulations
  • Event planning or recreational programming experience
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and twisting
  • Ability to safely assist residents with activities and outings
