Job description

Role: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Weirton, WV 26062

Type: 6 Month - CTH

Pay Range: $65 - $75/hr.



Mission


Support production launch of the automated high-volume cell assembly line close out documentation, provide line test support, identify issues/risks in real time, propose and implement solutions during ramp.

Must-Haves (Resume)


  • Production line launch experience specifically automation, not manual-only assembly

  • Hands-on troubleshooting: robots, servo/motion control

  • Experience across assembly processes: welding/joining (resistance, laser, IR), leak testing, etc.

  • Body-in-white experience is a strong plus (robot + joining tech heavy)

  • Demonstrated launch methodology: defining OEE-type metrics, gating line readiness, recommending solutions, validating outcomes (e.g., first pass yield, availability improvements)

  • Independent root cause analysis ability to resolve issues not caught during integrator acceptance testing

  • 2+ years of relevant experience minimum (internship/co-op time counts toward the 1 4 yr range on the posting actual launch/automation experience is what matters, not just years)


Nice-to-Haves


  • Process capability / Cpk analysis, SPC concepts

  • Minitab (statistics)

  • Python (not required)

  • CAD experience (line layouts, equipment design)

  • Ability to read product drawings and equipment design docs

  • Understanding of control schematics / automation logic (servo, motion control language)
