1st Shift 6am- 2:30pm overtime as needed

About the Role

Under general direction the CNC Programmer will be responsible for developing and writing programs for CNC machines mainly in the Mill department using engineering style blueprints. Reviewing engineering drawings to define configurations and sequences of operations. Contributing to the development of solutions relating to technical difficulties to meet deadlines. This role works closely with machinist, to deliver quality parts that meet all dimensional and process requirements while maintaining high standards of safety and productivity

Responsibilities

- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam

- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements

- Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and machining strategies.

- Proving out programs at the machine to ensure accuracy before full production

- Trouble shoot machining issues and identifying root causes for non-conformances

- Collaborate with machinist and production teams to improve cycle times

-Adhere to quality standards to minimize nonconformances and rework

-Maintain program revision control and proper documentation

Qualifications

- 5+ years of CNC programming experience, with a focus on programming for 5-axis Mills

-Experience programming Haas mills is preferred.

-5+ years using Mastercam or similar software

-5+ years of machining experience

- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling and materials

- Knowledge of GD&T and inspection requirements

- Hands-on experience with machine setup and program proofing

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
