Job description

Our client, a premier government supply and service provider, is seeking a Network Administrator/Technical Support Specialist, to join their growing team in Kearneysville, WV. The qualified candidate will:

  • Troubleshoot computer software and hardware issues and make repairs and perform scheduled updates.
  • Provide technical support to clients through various channels of communication.
  • Field questions from employees about software installation and hardware upgrades.
  • Maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis and performance tuning, troubleshoot and repair network problems as necessary.


REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Associate's Degree in Computer Engineering or related field Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in an IT support role.
  • Proven experience in a network administrator role
  • Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
  • Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN's remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired
  • Ability to set up and configure server hardware
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
  • Must possess a solid understanding of computer network cabling.
  • Strong background in server management and software installations and upgrades.
