JOB DESCRIPTION:
Internships have a lasting impact on our team at New York Air Brake! The summer internship program for students in their Junior or Senior year of study provides the opportunity to make big contributions that help us deliver advanced freight rail braking solutions now and in the future. We value innovation, team players, and people with the passion to dig in when presented with new opportunities. This is your opportunity to make a big impact on improving the quality of how the latest generation of locomotive and freight car braking systems are manufactured. You can expect challenging work and an insider's view into your future profession. You will work as an individual and as part of a project team, while receiving regular feedback in preparation for a final presentation to company leaders.
Our internships start Mid-May and end Mid- August. This position is a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities will be focused in one or more of the following areas:
  • Perform testing on complex integrated & networked systems.
  • Configure test setups and control stands.
  • Write test cases based on functional requirements.
  • Utilize automated testing to quickly and efficiently collect test data for development teams.
  • Write test reports.
Required Skills:
    • Basic software engineering skills.
    • Hands on experience
    • Familiar with data acquisition
    • Troubleshooting
Education:
Degree: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology with a minimum 3.0 GPA
Minimum Year: Entering Junior Year

Our interns begin work as early as mid May and work up until the middle of August. Expect 40 hours per week on a hybrid schedule. There is something for everyone as a summer intern with New York Air Brake, Train Dynamic Systems.
