Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Graduate Engineering Technician to join our Infrastructure / Transportation team, based in Whitby, Markham, Toronto, or Mississauga On (Hybrid model work). This entrylevel role is ideal for recent graduates who are detailoriented, technically curious, and interested in specializing in engineering documentation, drawings, and digital project delivery.
You will work closely with engineers, designers, and project teams to support the preparation, coordination, and quality of technical documentation across a range of infrastructure projects.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: 
 

As a Graduate Engineering Technician - Documentation & Design, you will:


    Assist with the preparation, formatting, and coordination of engineering drawings, specifications, reports, and technical documentation
    Support design teams by organizing and maintaining drawing packages, deliverables, and document registers
    Assist with site visits, inspections, and condition assessments (as required)
    Apply CAD and digital design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D) to support documentation and design updates
    Perform document quality checks to support compliance with project standards, client requirements, and internal QA/QC processes
    Manage version control and file organization within digital document management systems (e.g., SharePoint or similar platforms)
    Coordinate inputs from multiple disciplines to assist with consolidated design and documentation packages
    Support project teams during submissions, reviews, and milestone deliverables
    Adhere to GHD's safety, quality, and integrity standards
    Learn and apply applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
What you will bring to the Team:
 

    Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering Technician, or a related program (new or upcoming graduates encouraged to apply)
    Strong attention to detail and interest in technical documentation and drawing coordination
    Working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, or similar)
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working in digital document environments
    Strong written communication, organization, and time management skills
    A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn within a consulting environment
    Eligibility to work in Canada
 

The salary range for this position is $21.00 - $30.00.  The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for GHD locations in its major city centres. Ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At GHD, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location.
