We have a strong focus and a firm commitment to intelligent planning, creative design, principled construction standards and value-based furnishing. Sensyst is proud to offer project management, interior space planning, commercial interior design, and office furniture services in the Greater Toronto Area.

Our team has the capability to accept and adapt to complex project challenges, which are often shied away from by other design institutions. It is our philosophy to provide thorough service and communication at all stages of a project in order to establish and build relationships with existing and prospective clients, to capture their vision and make their space a functioning reality.


Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Interior Design Intern to join our team for the summer. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, professional design environment while contributing to real projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with space planning, concept development, and design presentations
  • Create mood boards, material palettes, and furniture selections
  • Support the team with CAD drawings, 3D models, and renderings
  • Conduct research on materials, finishes, and industry trends
  • Help prepare client presentations and project documentation
  • Attend site visits, client meetings, and vendor showroom tours (when applicable)
  • Perform general administrative and project support tasks as needed


Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an Interior Design or related program
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, and/or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong visual, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for design
  • Basic knowledge of materials, furniture, and spatial planning is an asset
