About the Opportunity
As a Network Engineer you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our network infrastructure to support our healthcare services across multiple locations and in Azure.
Duties and Responsibilities
Network Security:
  • Design, implement, and manage robust network security solutions using Palo Alto products.
  • Utilize tools for network access control and policy enforcement with Aruba Clearpass.

Azure Cloud Integration:
  • Architect, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
  • Deploy high availability firewalls with load balancers to ensure uptime and resiliency.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of on-premises and cloud-based systems.

Network Monitoring and Management:
  • Implement and configure network monitoring tools with Solarwinds and Netbox.
  • Utilize network control management systems for efficient management of wireless networks.

Network Design and Optimization:
  • Design and implement scalable network architectures for over 260 locations.
  • Utilize BGP for efficient routing and network scalability.
  • Optimize network performance through monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Drive the replacement of Sophos firewalls with Palo Alto firewalls both at edge locations and our core infrastructure in Azure.

Collaboration and Documentation:
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address network-related issues and implement solutions.
  • Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.

Incident Response and Troubleshooting:
  • Respond promptly to network incidents, providing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct thorough troubleshooting of network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer with expertise using Palo Alto and Azure technologies.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of routing, switching, VPN technologies, and firewall configurations.
  • Experience designing networks over multiple regions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, Microsoft Azure Network Engineer (AZ-700), and Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect,
  • Experience with automation tools.
