Job Description: CPH has an opening in its Tampa, Florida office for the following position:
Civil Designer/CAD Technician with a minimum of 5 years of experience with Civil Engineering Design.
CPH is seeking a candidate to work under the supervision of a Project Engineer and apply technical professional proficiency to a variety of Civil Engineering projects with focus in Land Development and Infrastructure plans utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
This position provides an opportunity for a skilled, self-motivated, and detail-oriented professional to join an established, growing Architectural and Engineering Design Firm. CPH, Inc. is a multi-disciplined firm that provides its clients complete services from project inception through construction. Our in-house professionals include Engineers, Architects, Landscape Architects, Planners, Surveyors, Biologists and Construction Management personnel. Our teams develop innovative solutions for complex design challenges and are dedicated to providing clients with the highest quality service. Minimum Requirements Include:
5 years of experience in Civil Engineering design with a Civil Engineering consulting firm.
Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD Release 18 and Civil 3D
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel
Experience in Land Development, Utility Plan & Profiles, and Minor Roadway design and production.
Experience with FDOT Design Standards and correct application of FDOT design details.
Experience reviewing and interpreting design codes and regulations
Highly Motivated self-starter ready to design and draft private, public and commercial projects with little or no instruction.
Duties Include:
Design, preparation and drafting of detailed site, roadway and utility construction plans in AutoCAD/Civil 3D. Strong Emphasis on CAD capabilities, speed and accuracy. Experience in design/drafting landscape plans per local requirements is a plus.
Calculation of quantities, areas, slopes, inverts, etc. commensurate with civil engineering as well as preparation of data required for roadway, utility, and storm water design.
Plotting and preparation of plan sets as required for agency and construction submittals.
Coordination with other project team members, company departments, agencies and clients.
Management of time and workload to stay on schedule and within budget.
Regulatory code research.
Limited travel to assist with site investigation, construction observation and project transmittals.
Other duties as deemed necessary by project supervisor.
