Job Summary:
NEOGOV is a company that provides innovative technology solutions for government agencies. The role of Computer Support Specialist involves supporting day-to-day activities related to the City’s information technology end user interface, including installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining PCs and peripherals, while providing exceptional customer service to city departmental staff.
Responsibilities:
• Consistently demonstrate exceptional customer service
• Provide city departmental staff with first level contact via the Help Desk phone and problem resolution for hardware, software, and application issues.
• Obtain and convey concise information via the ticketing system for citywide departments following IT documentation standards
• Escalate tickets as appropriate to tier 2 Help Desk team as required.
• Act as liaison between the Help Desk and City Departments internal support staff by providing onsite support to each facility to ensure accurate interpretation of the reported issue and maintain communication with clients during the resolution process
• Develop and maintain knowledge of Help Desk supported products and services
• Develop troubleshooting skills by utilizing available Help Desk tools and ITS Knowledge Base articles
• Support other technical systems used throughout the city including, but not limited to security cameras and NVRs, web cams, access control systems and Council Chambers Audio/Visual system
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
• Ability to organize work well, plan effectively, and use time productively
• Possess exceptional customer service skills
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to adapt to changing dynamics in workflow
• Ability to support staff both remotely and on site
• Familiarity with Audio/Visual and security system troubleshooting for access control, security cameras, NVRs, and other similar equipment
• Excels in a team environment
• Aptitude to learn on the job from co-workers and supervisors
• Flexibility in schedule to work weekends, evenings and on-call as necessary.
• Ability to work with Windows 10, Microsoft Outlook and O365
• Minimum AS Degree in Computer Science, or;
• One year background in PC support.
• Valid Florida driver’s license required.
Preferred:
• A+ Certification highly desirable, but not required.
• ITIL knowledge or certification desirable, but not required.
