Job description

  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • Responsible and accountable for coordinating and supervising the peri anesthesia Peri anesthesia care provided to patients having operative or other invasive procedures. Provides support and leadership in making progress toward achievement of strategic goals. Manages the peri anesthesia areas both operationally and fiscally. Follows EAMC standards of behavior for leadership and clearly conveys information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message. Uses appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help build a cohesive team and facilitate the completion of team goals.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
    • Minimum Education
      • Associates's degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing school
    • Minimum Experience
      • Current Management position or 2 years Peri anesthesia/Perioperative experience
    • Required Registration/License/Certification
      • Alabama Board of Nursing License
      • BLS obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer or prior to taking call
      • ACLS obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer or prior to taking call
      • PALS obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer or prior to taking call
      • NIHSS w/in 90 days of hire/transfer (EAH to assist with certification completion)
    • Preferred Education
      • Bachelor's degree in nursing, business, or other related field
    • Preferred Experience
      • 3-5 years Perianesthesia/Periop experience
      • 2 years management or other specialty team leader position
      • Advanced computer skills
    • Preferred Registration/License/Certification
      • CPAN/CAPA Certification
