Job description

This position is responsible for System Engineering relating to IP, Transmission and Signaling. The IP Engineer will provide expert level technical support on a wide variety of network technologies; works autonomously or within a group structure; communicates technical subject matter with Customer's POCs, Sales, and Management Team; develops resolution of complex customer issues through data gathering, isolation and problem analysis; provides guidance and mentoring to peers and junior level engineers. Advanced understanding of networking systems and TCP/IP to include experience in IP Addressing adn Sub netting; Network Address Translations; MTU; QoS Strong knowledge of Routing and Switching systems (Cisco or Juniper); Understanding of Routing Protocols (HSRP, VRRP, and GLRP) to include experience troubleshooting issues with these protocols A strong knowledge of VoIP, Multicast, STP, VTP, and Virtual LAN's and Trunking (VLAN's); Network Security (ACL's, IPSec Tunnels), Cisco ASA's (Security Appliances); SONET, ATM, MLPS, POS, Multicast and how to properly implement these technologies.

Ability to perform (advanced level) configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of IP network infrastructure. Write system requirement documents, and develop design solutions (Physical and logical) that are in compliance with best engineering practices, standards, and guidelines, implementing and testing the solution to ensure compliance with network requirements. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or 4+ years or equivalent experience in related technical field.

Certifications in CCNA, CCNP or 4+ years of experience in IP network technology in mobile industry. Providing periodical report of monitoring, troubleshooting record, network diagram and its history.
