Job description

Cardiovascular Technologist

MultiCare's Pulse Heart Institute is a physician led institute with multi-specialty partnership with cardiothoracic surgery, vascular and cardiovascular service lines. Our team and state-of-the-art programs create a world-class health care organization and the destination center for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular care with complex structural heart disease and interventions, advanced heart failure service as well as advanced imaging with cutting edge technologies.

FTE:.01 Per Diem, Shift: Variable, Schedule: 10 hour - Day Shift

Hours: 0600-1630, plus call requirement

Call requirement: availability to take call 1 weeknight per week (M-Th 1630-0600) and 1 weekend per month (Friday 1630- Monday 0600)

Position Summary

The Cardiovascular Technologist is a crucial role at MultiCare, responsible for providing technical support during a variety of diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures. In this role, you will ensure quality care, with a focus on the comfort and well-being of patient and family.

Responsibilities

  • Perform direct patient care activities under the direction of the Cardiac Cath Lab / EP Registered Nurse
  • Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment in assigned procedure room
  • Perform required Cath Lab specific documentation
  • Assemble, disassemble, and operate specialty equipment

Requirements

  • Current Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification or as a cardiovascular invasive specialist or currently enrolled in second year of an Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist program or Radiologic Technologist program
  • RCIS or commitment to obtain within 6 months of employment
  • Current AHA, BLS and ACLS CPR certifications at time of hire; CapMC Locations: RCIS or Cardiac Interventional Radiography certification within 2 years of employment
  • Note: All staff have the opportunity and are encouraged to use the Computer Based Cath Lab Orientation 12 week module program as a tool to become registry ready

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $40.96 - $67.69 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
