Job description

Job Summary: Our company is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to manage a development and testing computer lab environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Cisco Catalyst, Cisco UCS, VMware, Microsoft Active Directory, VDI, VPN, DNS, and various support IT services like Terraform and other automation software. The primary responsibility of this role will be to maintain infrastructure, ensure all users have appropriate access, and implement emerging technologies as needed.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the development and testing computer lab infrastructure, including Cisco Catalyst, Cisco UCS, VMware, and Microsoft Active Directory
  • Implement and support VDI, VPN, DNS, and other IT services as needed
  • Manage access control and permissions for all users in the development and testing computer lab environment
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Implement and maintain backup and recovery systems for critical data
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure that the development and testing computer lab environment is aligned with project goals and objectives
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and implement them as needed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the system
  • Provide training and support to end-users as needed
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, policies, and procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred, but NOT required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco Catalyst, Cisco UCS, VMware, Microsoft Active Directory, VDI, VPN, DNS, and various support IT services like Terraform and other automation software
  • Experience with system monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Experience with backup and recovery systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
