We are currently seeking a Employment Placement Specialist, Community Corrections who has apassion for providing the highest quality care in a residential setting. Comejoin a team that is dedicated to making an impact for the people andcommunities we serve.

The Employment Placement Specialist, Community Corrections is responsible for providing and coordinating employment programs to assist and support resident/inmates in their job search activities to secure and maintain gainful employment.

  • Develop, coordinate, present and facilitate employment programs/workshops (i.e. job readiness, portfolio and resume development, interview technique training, job readiness).
  • Provide resident/inmates with employment assistance by matching the resident/inmate's skill level through job placement resources, online resources (i.e. DOL website and America's Career Info Net) and other community resources in conjunction with programs and case management staff.
  • Assist in coordinating on-site employment job fairs or in providing resident/inmates referrals to community job fairs.
  • Develop and maintains relationships with community employers, career centers, trade schools, social service agencies and other employment resources to assist residents/inmates with job search activities.
  • Facilitate and monitors resident/inmate use of facility computer lab to include telephone system for job searching, resume writing, Internet usage, etc. Regularly reviews job search verification activities of resident/inmate.
