Job Title - Lab Technician (Microbiology)
Duration - 6+ months
Location - Social Circle GA
Shift - THURSDAY - SUNDAY 1:30PM - MIDNIGHT
Job Description
Performs routine environmental monitoring, critical utilities sampling and microbiological assays on raw materials, in-process, and final products.
Key Responsibilities
Perform sampling activities and microbiological assays requiring precise analytical skills and an understanding of microbiology principles under minimum supervision.
Use sophisticated laboratory instrumentation and computer systems (e.g., LIMS) to collect and record data; perform assays requiring precise analytical skills and understanding of biology and chemistry principles.
Complete all testing, sampling, in a timely and appropriate manner adhering to aseptic
practices.
Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with company SOPs and specifications, FDA,GLP, QSR, and cGMP regulations.
Perform laboratory and safety audits as required.
Proficient in wet and instrumental methods of analyses.
Maintain inventory and supplies necessary to conduct routine testing and sampling.
Advanced laboratory skills and basic knowledge of statistical method.
Strong technical problem solving skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, and in a timely fashion.
Must communicate effectively (verbal and written) with supervisors and peers.
Knowledge of most laboratory equipment including but not limited to autoclaves, incubators, analytical equipment
Must be proficient in a variety of mathematical operations and calculations and be able to work with both the metric and US standards of measurement.
Must be able to read and follow detailed written instructions and have good verbal/written
communication skills.
Follow continuous improvement practices (5S, etc.).
Knowledge of basic chemical and biological safety procedures.
Good computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, or Biological Science with Analytical Chemistry or Microbiology laboratory coursework, and 0-2 years' experience..
