Instrumentation & Data Systems Capability Integration Manager

Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is currently recruiting for a Instrumentation & Data Systems (I&DS) Capability Integration Manager to join our team in support of the I&DS Enterprise Capability Leader (ECL) out of Seattle, WA; Charleston, SC; El Segundo, CA; Oklahoma City, OK, Philadelphia, PA; Ridley Park, PA; or San Antonio, TX.

In this role, you will help guide the strategy, workforce development and enterprise engagement strategy in support of I&DS across the enterprise. You will lead a team while partnering closely with ITL leadership and capability leaders ensure our capabilities support both current and future testing needs across Lab Test and Flight Test.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight of employees performing engineering and technical tasks

  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, business partners, peers, and direct reports

  • Develop Capability engagement framework and assessments across the enterprise

  • Lead training and development initiatives to create industry best in class I&DS talent

  • Help develop Technology Strategy and roadmaps across the enterprise for I&DS

  • Help oversee the I&DS Strategic Investment and Capital project portfolio by supporting Long Range Business Planning exercises, enabling project leaders, and ensuring projects are effectively planned and executed to meet key milestones

  • Strive to continuously innovate to improve existing processes and frameworks

  • Develops and maintains a culture of seeking to understand, courage to speak up, and active listening to manage, develop and motivate employees


This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform majority of work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership"

  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering related role working in a lab test, flight test, or similar test environment

  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed

  • Proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams

  • 3+ years of experience of collaborative leadership and teaming with internal and external stakeholders

  • 3+ years of experience managing project portfolios and budgets

  • Knowledge of BT&E Test technical domain

  • Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels

  • Strategic planning experience and ability to assess and improve organizational health to create a culture of high performance

  • Experience in project management and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously, including experience collecting, interpreting data, and managing high level projects
