Job description

DEFINITION:

Has thorough knowledge of test and specimen requirements and assists in lab as needed. Able to order and or maintain general lab supplies. Responsibilities include specimen processing, distribution, tracking, and managing specimens for send-out testing. Able to function as a testing laboratory assistant in all areas of the lab and assists Medical Technologist as needed.

EDUCATION:

Third or fourth year BS degree laboratory majors


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience as a laboratory assistant.

Certified Clinical Laboratory Assistant (MLA)

Certified Laboratory Assistant Basic Computer knowledge required

Third or fourth year BS degree laboratory majors preferred. Previous laboratory experience highly recommended.
