Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person, creating a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. Nursing practices are based on evidence, current research, hospital policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines. Clinical decision-making incorporates all phases of the nursing process, critical thinking, and creativity. The RN coordinates and provides direct patient care activities, including nursing rounds, assessments, treatments, admissions, transfers, discharges, patient and family-centered education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
- Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with care team members
- Knowledge of computer systems and applications or ability to be trained
- Accountability for actions, attitude, and results

Preferred Qualifications:
