Job description

We are seeking Lab Associate - Automated Chemistry to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, CA.

Job Summary:
Perform routine laboratory testing and analysis of clinical trial specimens while ensuring compliance with established SOPs, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. Support laboratory operations through accurate documentation, sample management, result evaluation, and effective collaboration with internal stakeholders. Schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday (6:00pm to 2:30am)
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Perform routine specimen analysis and accurately document results in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines
  • Evaluate analytical data against laboratory system algorithms and verify result accuracy
  • Identify, document, and escalate unusual results, instrument issues, or performance concerns to senior laboratory personnel
  • Prepare laboratory buffers and solutions required for testing activities
  • Manage post-analysis storage of samples and reagents while maintaining proper inventory practices
  • Support laboratory procedure development, housekeeping activities, and 6S initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders regarding laboratory activities and findings
What We Are Looking For:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; some CAP/CLIA laboratory locations may require a Bachelor's Degree in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology
  • 6 months experience in a regulated laboratory environment
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory principles and analytical testing procedures
  • Basic knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and applicable regulatory agency standards
  • Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control procedures, standard precautions, and hazardous chemical handling
  • Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures, organize workflow, and ensure data accuracy
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and communicate clearly in a fast-paced laboratory environment
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and terminology used in automated chemistry testing
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work within laboratory information systems
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $35,900.00 - $74,800.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
