THE ROLE
This position's schedule is Monday - Friday, 11 AM - 7 PM CT
As the Lab Assistant, you'll play a key role in helping shape the future of personalized health.
This is a highly impactful opportunity for someone who thrives in early-stage environments and wants to own meaningful work with visible business impact. You'll work closely with cross-functional partners across the company to solve important problems, improve member experiences, and help drive the next phase of Rythm's growth.
This is not a narrowly scoped role. We're looking for someone who combines strong execution with strategic thinking, enjoys operating in ambiguity, and is excited to help build systems, processes, and experiences that scale. You'll have significant ownership, influence, and the opportunity to help shape the future of both the company and your function.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Receive, open, and sort incoming specimen envelopes; flag damaged shipments.
  • Sort/triage samples by registration status.
  • Perform pre-analytical prep including declotting prior to instrument loading.
  • Support general workflow, such as centrifuging, labeling, organizing.
  • Maintain a clean and compliant workspace; assist with supplies and waste.
  • This position schedule is Monday - Friday, 11 AM - 7 PM CT
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's Degree required; science coursework a plus
  • Prior lab, clinical, or warehouse experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail on repetitive, high-volume tasks
  • Ability to follow SOPs and safety protocols
  • Comfortable working with biological specimens (training provided)
  • Reliable and punctual; able to stand for extended periods
  • Basic computer literacy for sample data logging
