Description
The Adjunct Certified Nurse Aide Instructor is responsible for organizing and teaching classes (lecture, lab, and clinical hours) as assigned by the Academic Dean.
Job Duties
  • Must be comfortable teaching a variety of methods; online, lecture, or lab and capable of creating an environment conducive to student learning.
  • Must evaluate and report student performances and progress in courses in accordance with college and division policies and procedures.
  • Assess student learning outcomes in courses each term & and refer students to college resources.
  • Ability to organize and present various curriculum concepts to a wide range of students with varying backgrounds and abilities and adjust teaching techniques accordingly.

Qualifications
  • CNA Instructor is a Registered Nurse with a minimum of one hospital or clinical experience.
  • Train the Trainer certificate or willingness to be certified upon hire.
  • Ability to pass a background check, a valid U.S driver's license, and a good driving record.
  • Must meet Minimum Faculty Standards for hire and adhere to college policies and procedures.

Physical Demands
Ability to occasionally lift 10 pounds, ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone, and other basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, and use a phone. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction, strong organizational skills, reasoning/analysis, and ability to work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem solving and high level of interpersonal skills is required. Some travel, by vehicle, may be required to other locations. Work is routinely performed in a classroom environment. Frequent contact with internal and external customers is required. Instructors are responsible for obtaining and maintaining reliable compatible computer hardware and software.
