Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in a transformative project. You'll work alongside a collaborative, innovative, and detail-oriented team of professionals.

You'll play a pivotal role in reducing the carbon footprint of Canada's busiest public transit system by contributing to the On-Corridor Works project. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (design, site operations, and subcontractors), ensure quality installation designs, and support the successful delivery of installation activities, and much more.

You'll specifically take care of installation engineering studies, site inspections, and technical reviews, but also manage progress reporting and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

We'll look to you for:

  • Enforcing strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations

  • Overseeing subcontractor installation of civil elements such as signalling structure foundations, retaining walls, and primary cable containment

  • Inspecting and verifying the quality of installations and materials used

  • Tracking and reporting daily/weekly/monthly progress and updating site logs

  • Maintaining accurate records of installation activities, test results, and site changes

  • Coordinating with client representatives and third-party inspectors during audits or reviews

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That's why we don't expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

  • At least 5 years experience in civil construction, preferably in railway or infrastructure projects

  • Experience or understanding of surveying, leveling, and setting out works, lifting plans, and working at height

  • Knowledge of construction workflows, installation sequencing, and railway systems

  • Familiarity with brownfield railway projects

  • A certification in railway systems or safety (e.g., CROR, PTS, WHMIS, First Aid)

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to read and interpret civil and structural drawings

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Proven experience in leading site teams and overseeing subcontractor activities

  • Required to work on-site, including night shifts, weekend and/or Statutory Holidays
  • Valid driver's license

Things you'll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey - the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You'll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative projects

  • Utilise our inclusive and flexible working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning

  • Progress towards leadership opportunities within Alstom

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is $70,000 - $95,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
