Summary:

The Computer Installer is responsible for the disconnection, transport preparation, and reinstallation of computer equipment and related technology during office relocations or onsite service projects. This role ensures that all equipment is properly labeled, safely handled, accurately reinstalled, and fully functional at the completion of each assignment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Installation & Equipment Setup

Disconnect, label, and safely package desktop computers, monitors, printers, and peripheral devices.

Transport and reinstall equipment according to layout diagrams and labeling systems.

Reconnect all hardware, including LAN cables, power cords, and peripherals.

Power up systems and verify functionality to log-on stage.

Install protective devices and ensure proper setup of monitors and associated equipment.

Inventory & Documentation

Perform detailed inventory of existing equipment prior to disconnection.

Create and follow equipment labeling systems and setup diagrams.

Complete reconnect checklists and verify configuration accuracy.

Conduct pre- and post-installation walkthroughs, documenting any damage or issues.

Project Execution

Meet with supervisors to review assignments.

Complete tasks within established timelines.

Communicate issues or delays promptly.

QUALIFICATONS:


Knowledge of desktop hardware and cabling systems.

Microsoft Office proficiency.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and teamwork.
