Full-time (This is not a remote position.)

Provides assistance in HIS system operations and maintenance. Ensures the operation of critical applications. Performs and ensures quality and effective HIS software systems development and implementation. Provides detailed analysis for accurate, timely and creative solutions to end user software problems of moderate to complex nature to support end-user productivity. Provides effective analysis support in isolating or fixing problems with software installations, upgrades/updates and configuration changes. Develops and maintains HIS documentation. Produces plans for medium to large user projects. Builds testing plans for medium to large user projects. Supports interfaces to HIS functional areas. Provides assistance as required to the Technical Support group as directed and assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires detailed understanding and experience in systems use, systems analysis and design.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills, as it relates to operations of the hospital’s information systems;
  • Ability to provide effective customer and systems analysis and support to all Health System entities;
  • Open minded, flexible, and receptive attitude in addressing system needs and requirements;
  • Requires the individual to be a cooperative team player within the department operations.
  • Technical aptitude and knowledge; four to five years of experience in application systems analysis in a hospital environment (or equivalent.)
  • BS in computer science, information systems, or its equivalent in education / experience is required.
  • Previous hospital systems experience is preferred.
  • EHR experience preferred; preferably in AthenaOne and Meditech
