Job description

Job Overview

Hubbell is looking for a highly skilled and experienced IT Infrastructure Program Manager to drive the successful execution of projects within the IT Infrastructure function. 

The IT Infrastructure Program Manager is responsible for defining scope, establishing project plans, and driving the execution of strategic IT Infrastructure initiatives. This role focuses on structured project delivery using industry standard methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, ITIL), ensuring stakeholder alignment, risk mitigation, and on-time/on-budget execution. 

The Program Manager will partner closely with IT Infrastructure technical leads, architects, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful outcomes across multiple concurrent projects.  You will also drive continuous services improvements to simplify projects and enhance delivery using lean and innovative thinking to advance IT Infrastructure programs.  Your expertise in managing complex programs & projects, strong leadership skills, and deep knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure will be critical to the success of our organization.

A Day In The Life

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Initiation
   Partner with Infrastructure leaders and technical SMEs to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
   Develop comprehensive project charters, resource plans, work breakdown structures, and schedules.
   Facilitate project kickoffs, ensuring roles, responsibilities, and expectations are clearly established.

Project Execution & Monitoring
   Lead cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure projects such as: 
   Technology modernization, simplification, and standardization.
   Data center consolidation and hosting improvements.
   Cloud migration and governance initiatives.
   Network Security, build out, lifecycle upgrades, and compliance-driven enhancements.
   End-user technology and lifecycle upgrades.
   Monitor project progress through status reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
   Proactively identify risks and issues; manage mitigation and escalation paths.
   Track budget, resource allocation, and vendor performance.
   Drive adherence to project governance, change management processes, and quality standards.

Stakeholder Management & Communication
   Maintain strong relationships with IT, business stakeholders, and external partners.
   Provide clear, concise, and actionable project updates to leadership.
   Facilitate Steering Committee forums, decision-making checkpoints, and alignment sessions.

Change & Continuous Improvement
   Apply structured change management practices to ensure adoption of new systems, processes, and infrastructure capabilities.
   Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline project workflows, reporting standards, and governance.
   Stay current on industry trends and best practices to enhance project delivery within IT Infrastructure.

Required Skills & Experience


   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
   5-10 years of relevant IT project management experience, preferably within infrastructure environments.
   Proven experience delivering complex technology projects using established project management methodologies.
   Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies (networks, servers, cloud, storage, security, voice, data center & hosting environments, etc.).
   Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
   Strong organizational and analytical capabilities with attention to detail.
   Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
   Experience with project management tools (e.g., Aha!, MS Project, Azure DevOps, JIRA).
   PMP, CAPM, or Agile certification are highly desirable.
