Job description

  • The IT Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, and directing the technology vision of the Casino. The IT Manager is also responsible for the successful administration and coordination of all activities of the IT department in accordance with the Mission and Objectives of the casino and all established policies, procedures, and controls of the casino.
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to: managing all activities of the casino information management systems, software and hardware development, computer network and mainframe support; advise and direct departments in the planning and implementation of new information systems; ongoing projects and contract management; systems integration and coordination between Casino departments, vendors and contractors.
  • The IT Manager ensures that a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained by the IT Department.
  • Communicates with all departments on specific needs and/or problems, and acts as a liaison between technicians, vendors and management.
  • Ensures proper licensing and adequate support for all system users.
  • Assists in the design, coordination and installation of multi-user applications.
  • Administers the entire network, maintaining data integrity and system uptime.
  • Maintains working knowledge of all applications on the network.
  • Enforces standards of security, system integrity and confidentiality within the department.
  • Routinely inspects all supported equipment on property, identifying potential problems and coordinating necessary repairs.
  • Coordinates the troubleshooting and repair of all supported equipment on property.
  • Implements and manages an effective information technology plan for the property, working with management to ensure that operations are maintained within budgetary constraints.
  •  Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data, to determine departmental progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Administers all programs, policies, and procedures for the Information Technology Department.
  • Ensures compliance with all appropriate Tribal, federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as applicable.
  • Performs other duties and projects as required.
  • Maintains a Professional look and attitude at all times and creates an atmosphere of FUN for all Casino guests.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences or Business Administration or four to six years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Server 2008+, Windows desktop systems, Linux.
    • Knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and organization and execution. This includes strategic planning, resource allocation, manpower techniques, and production methods.
    • Possess superior computer skills and be proficient in a variety of software applications currently in use at the Kickapoo Casino, with the ability to learn other applications to supplement the support side of the position.
    • Working knowledge of networking, TCP/IP protocols, routing, and other related topics.
    • Working knowledge of VMware/vSphere, Windows Server, Active Directory, and SQL Server.
    • Ability to communicate information and ideas orally and in written format to audiences of differing technical skill levels.
    • Ability to analyze needs and document product requirements.
    • Ability to deal diplomatically with the public and staff.
    • Ability to produce documents that establish both Identity and Employment Eligibility.
    • Prior tribal and/or gaming experience is a plus.
    • Maintain a Kickapoo Casino Gaming License.
