Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and systems-driven Payroll / HRIS Coordinator to support payroll processing and HR systems administration for Paycom. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, timely payroll while maintaining the integrity of employee data within our HRIS platform (Paycom).

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, is highly organized, and enjoys working with data, systems, and cross-functional teams.


Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Administration
  • Support bi-weekly and/or weekly payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees for up to 1000 employees
  • Audit timecards, earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings for accuracy
  • Assist with payroll adjustments, corrections, and off-cycle payments
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
HRIS (Paycom) Administration
  • Maintain employee data within Paycom, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Process employee lifecycle transactions (new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations)
  • Support system configuration updates, workflows, and audits
  • Run and distribute standard and ad hoc HR/payroll reports
  • Partner with HR and IT to troubleshoot system issues
Compliance & Reporting
  • Maintain payroll records in accordance with company policy and legal requirements
  • Assist with audits (internal, external, and compliance-related)
  • Support year-end processes including W-2 preparation and reconciliation
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of employee information
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy and HRIS efficiency
  • Support implementation of system enhancements and process standardization
  • Assist with training managers and employees on Paycom tools (timekeeping, PTO, self-service)
Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of experience in payroll, HRIS, or HR operations
  • Experience with Paycom or similar HRIS/payroll systems required
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong Excel and data management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing, food production, or multi-site environments
  • Familiarity with timekeeping systems and shift-based payroll
  • Basic knowledge of benefits deductions and garnishments
