Salary:

RESPONSIBILITIES:


This position's schedule is primarily Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 7:30 pm, and Friday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.


This position is an information technology (IT) support position that will be responsible for supporting administrative offices. Junior and Senior designations will be applied to the job title where appropriate to skill level and experience.


Essential Functions

  • Support faculty, staff, and students in the use of information technology.
  • Advise HutchCC staff in the use of information technology to meet institutional goals.
  • Primary support for student services-based information systems.
  • Manage and maintain assigned computer labs.
  • Train HutchCC staff on the use of information technology.
  • Support cloud, network, wireless, mobile, A/V, phone, and digital media systems.
  • Support of: A/V systems, phone system, and digital media.
  • Maintain technical equipment and infrastructure.
  • Work and participate as a team member of the Information Technology Services (ITS) department.
  • Assist in IT planning, implementation and monitoring.
  • Maintain adequate system administration and support records and licensing.
  • Oversee, develop and document new IT related initiatives.
  • Serve actively on campus committees.
  • Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
  • Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures and practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Windows Desktop experience required.
  • Experience in database management and design preferred.
  • Scripting experience preferred (bash and/or PowerShell).
  • Willingness and ability to obtain industry certifications, such as:
    • A+
    • Network+
    • Security+
    • MCSA/MCSE
  • Familiarity with the TCP/IP protocol.
  • Familiarity with Category 5 and 6 wiring standards.
  • Familiarity with wireless network technology.
  • The ability to work effectively and professionally with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Physical requirements: This position will involve regular lifting up to 50 pounds, and bending, stooping, lift, stand, bend, stoop, reach, climb, push, pull and carry; the ability to understand words and respond effectively and appropriately; visual acuity to view a computer terminal; use appropriate judgment and to apply tact and courtesy in difficult situations; moderate to heavy indoor work environment.
  • Mental requirements include the ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions about the position.
  • Physical and mental qualifications must be performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.

HOURLY WAGE and STATUS: {Emergency Status}


The hourly rate of pay is commensurate with qualifications as determined by HutchCC administration. This fulltime support staff position is 12 months annual, benefit eligible, at-will. and nonexempt. This position will be located at the HutchCC Main Campus location with possible travel to remote sites.
