Group Leader - HRIS
Human Resources Department
Position Summary:
The Group Leader of HRIS oversees the HRIS team in coordinating the technical solutions for the HR Department and other business stakeholders. This role oversees all facets of the organization's HRIS systems, including the maintenance of current systems, the development/deployment of future systems, and supports the organization's HRIS course for the future. Additionally, this role oversees the analytics solutions for the HR Department, ensuring that data management solutions align with analytics strategies and enhance organizational performance.
Outline of duties:
  • Directly supervises and supports HRIS team members by coaching members, monitoring workload and performance, and ensuring consistent HRIS service delivery.
  • Supports HR leadership by facilitating communication and shared understanding of HR technology needs and system capabilities that improve HR department performance.
  • Implements and supports the execution of the HRIS strategy and related change management activities, ensuring initiatives are carried out effectively within established priorities and timelines.
  • Assists with the maintenance of business capability roadmaps by tracking progress, coordinating updates, and providing input based on system performance and stakeholder feedback.
  • Coordinates HR process and analytics initiatives, supporting business transformation efforts through system configuration, testing, documentation, and user support.
  • Works collaboratively with HR, IT, and business teams to support joint initiatives, assist with proposal evaluation, and ensure approved projects align with existing roadmaps and priorities.
  • Supports the adoption of HR technology solutions by monitoring usage, gathering feedback, tracking metrics, and reporting findings to HR and business leadership.
  • Applies a business-value mindset when supporting HRIS initiatives by considering user impact, digital awareness, risk considerations, and operational requirements.
  • Assists in aligning business priorities with planning activities and team goals, supporting execution and milestone tracking.
  • Supports HR analytics efforts by assisting with data management, reporting, and analysis, contributing to descriptive/predictive analytics that inform HR decisions and organizational KPIs.
  • Administers contracted HRIS software solutions by coordinating vendor interactions, tracking service performance, assisting with ROI analysis, and escalating recommendations for enhancements or future solutions.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Information Technology, or relevant field required.
  • Three years in information technology, HRIS, or other relevant fields, including practical experience with HR system administration and payroll systems.
  • Excellent managerial skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of human resource management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent team-collaboration skills including experience with dealing with multiple projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of state and federal labor laws and regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Ability to foster teamwork and influence others

Desired Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in information systems, Information Technology, or relevant field.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with project delivery
  • Experience in leadership, management, or supervision
  • Familiarity with SAP, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur or other enterprise business solutions.
