Job Summary:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for monitoring and supporting maintenance of J. B. Hunt technological systems for operational stability, as well as providing Tier 2 support through managing tickets, resolving moderately complex technical problems, and progressing alerts for critical infrastructure issues. The incumbent identifies potential impacts, contributes to major incidents, and maintains documentation for processes.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Escalates system alerts and/or failures to relevant teams; partner cross-functionally to structure workflows that enable alerts
  • Monitors J.B. Hunt systems for abnormalities which inversely affect the operational stability, including, but not limited to, infrastructure health, network availability or security, applications, mainframe performance, and database connectivity; monitors service desk call volume for potential operations impact being reported by end users
  • Takes remedial action on system alerts and/or failures based on level of expertise Performs manual administrative tasks requested by employees, customers, and/or vendors to ensure productivity and stability within the platform
  • Provides tier 2 systems support and assists with status updates via appropriate methods
  • Participates in Major Incident Calls by performing necessary tasks, providing data, actively monitoring and engaging appropriate resources
  • Maintains system documentation by reviewing, updating, and validating content to enable knowledge sharing and standardization of processes
  • Diagnoses and resolves moderately complex technical problems within assigned systems
  • Supports and participates in the weekly maintenance window for the mainframe and BIPS refresh

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in management information systems, Computer and Information Science, Engineering, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or a suitable combination of education, experience, and training with 3 years of experience in Information Technology

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
