As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant at Ideal Dental, you will play a vital role in supporting both our patients and clinical team throughout the orthodontic treatment process. What you'll do:

  • Create a welcoming environment for patients, helping them feel comfortable and confident throughout their orthodontic journey.

  • Support patients through complex orthodontic procedures, helping them feel informed, calm, and confident throughout their treatment experience.

  • Work alongside the Orthodontist to ensure precision, efficiency, and a smooth clinical experience tailored to each patientโ€™s needs.

  • Educate patients on post-treatment care and recovery to promote healing and long-term oral health.

  • Coordinate care and follow-ups, ensuring patients receive timely treatment and clear communication throughout their visit.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records to support clinical decision-making and continuity of care.

  • Foster a collaborative team environment by staying proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality specialty care.

  • Contribute to the success of orthodontic practice by helping manage clinical readiness, patient flow, and operational support.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting guests with a smile

  • Assisting Orthodontist with procedures

  • Untying and tying arch-wires

  • Bending and placing arch-wires

  • Fitting bands

  • Preparing for and assisting with bonding

  • Taking impressions

  • Communicating with patients and families

  • Taking x-rays and developing x-rays

  • Taking intraoral and extraoral photographs

  • Utilizing the computer imaging system

  • Sterilizing instruments

  • Pouring up models

  • Inventorying supplies

What do you need to have to be a part of our team?

  • Active Registered Dental Assistant License

  • Current CPR certification

  • Minimum of 1 year of specific orthodontic experience

  • Must be willing to travel within assigned areas
