Job Description

As a Campus Support Specialist, this position will provide facilities and IT support, and assist Unitek employees with computer software, hardware or system problems. The position will also support campus and student servicing departments, working very closely with the Campus Director and with a team of MIS staff that ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values.

This personnel’s essential duties will include but not limited to:

  • Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of sites/building and related services. This may include hanging materials, light facilities work and repairs.
  • Coordinating with co-workers to determine how request orders will be assigned and/or advising workers to ensure all repairs are properly completed.
  • Answering technical questions that employees/students may have and resolving problems via telephone, e-mail, or in person by walking them through the process of solving their query.
  • Giving technical support to all levels of staff and users. Assisting IT team with computer setup, changing printer toners and installs and repairs company computer hardware and software.
  • Other duties as assigned by Campus Director. This can include book and material distribution, proctoring of entrance assessments, supporting student servicing departments, and assisting with other campus non-technical tasks.

Hourly rate: $25-28/HR

Qualifications
  • Must have a high school education or equivalency
  • 1+ years’ facilities related experience required.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills
  • General Computer Knowledge – including hardware repair and setup.
  • Must be able to problem solve and instruct people on the steps to take to solve computer related problems.
  • Ability to trouble shoot and multitask
  • Strong interpersonal skills -Customer Service Focused
  • Ability and desire to learning new skills
  • Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds.
