About the Role

Quvia is seeking a Systems Engineer with a strong background in networking to work from our South Florida office in Miramar -please only apply if you are in a commutable distance from this location or are prepared to relocate and can do so immediately on receipt of offer.


As a Systems Engineer, you will work closely with our team of software developers, QA, support, and operations personnel to ensure our systems are robust, efficient, and secure. You must have a strong understanding of networking, including switching, routing, subnetting, and transport layer protocols. Familiarity with the networking aspect of AWS cloud services is desirable for this role, as you will be expected to support VPC networking and site-to-site VPNs. This role demands hands-on expertise with hypervisors such as ESXi, KVM, and Proxmox, as well as a thorough understanding of computer hardware, and operating systems. Experience with Linux, and scripting in Bash and Python is also highly desirable. Additionally, you will be expected to follow, update, and create technical documentation to ensure clarity and accuracy in all systems processes and protocols.


You will also need the ability to travel to customer sites and Quvia's Points of Presence (PoPs) as needed. Because occasional travel is a requirement, you must maintain an active passport, drivers license, reliable vehicle, and car insurance.

What You'll Need

  • Ability to work 3-5 days per week from our HQ office in Miramar, South Florida.
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting various hardware, software, and operating system platforms
  • Proficiency in networking technologies across all OSI layers.
  • In depth knowledge of computer system components and operating systems
  • Experience with Next-Generation Firewalls and SD-WAN solutions
  • Ability to automate workflows with Bash and Python scripts
  • Familiarity with REST API and tools such as curl and Postman
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project management experience and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Certification as IT Professional will be an advantage (e.g. CCNA/CCNP, Linux+, RHCE, AWS)
