SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Manager of Technology Support, the System Engineer position provides technical support and assistance to the Pinelake Church Staff and ministries by performing needs analysis, procurement support, installation, guidance, and problem resolution for all computers and servers.

SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide expert Business Technology guidance to end users.
  • Installation and configuration of computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
  • Maintenance and monitoring of computer desktop, mobile, and tablet systems.
  • Diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
  • Testing and evaluating new technology.
  • Manage all types of business technology projects, monitor applications, and provide analytical solutions to resolve technical issues.
  • Provide system configuration and application upgrade support.
  • Analyze and develop plans to improve the quality of the Technology Solution systems.
  • Maintain system and data integrity during change control and management processes.
  • Other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Equivalent Work Experience. Minimum of two years of technical support experience with MacOS, iOS, Windows, VMWare, Azure Cloud Services including Azure Active Directory, Office 365 and Ring Central are a plus. Proficient in the use of online and remote-connecting software. This position requires the ability to examine, question, explore and troubleshoot a variety of issues. Applicable experience may substitute for portions of the educational framework.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The individual must be able to understand written or oral instructions; read, analyze and interpret documents, instructions manuals, and policies and procedures. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with a diverse group of people, communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone, email and in person, demonstrating tact and diplomacy.
COMPUTER AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
The individual must have demonstrated skill in the use of Windows/MacOS to complete tasks (including word processing and spreadsheets) and the ability to use the internet for information retrieval. The individual must be able to apply basic mathematical concepts and operations to such tasks as accounting, budget management, and financial expense monitoring. The individual must have the ability to read financial information and spreadsheets.
REASONING ABILITY
The ability to simultaneously conceptualize and plan multiple tasks; project outcomes using different implementation strategies; and apply creative and innovative thinking to problem situations is required. The ability to work effectively and efficiently under stressful conditions to ensure deadlines are met is essential.
